Hi gang. This is my first post. Apologies first, because I know this has been covered before, but I can’t seem to find the answer to my particular problem.
I’m now the proud owner of a BDP-2. It sounds wonderful. Set up was fairly easy using Manic Moose. I’m using a Western Digital My Passport USB drive for storage. I would like to use MPAD as my interface, as I’m already familiar with it. MPAD sees my albums, and I can use it to play songs. So I know it’s communicating with the BDP-2. But the problem I’m having, as many others with MPAD have had, is the album art is missing. On the USB drive, I have a folder for each artist, and within the artist folder I have various albums. The art for each album in a file called Folder.jpg and there is an art file in each album folder. Note that the artist folders are on the root of the drive.
For the album art URL, I’ve entered
http://bryston-bdp-2.local and Folder.jpg as the album art name. In MPAD, when I open an album and try to reload cover art, the URL that returns is
http://bryston-bdp-2.local/MY_PASSPORT/[albumartist]/[albumname]. So it’s reading the name of the drive and the name of the album, it’s just not seeing the Folder.jpg file. I’ve tried various iterations of the URL. I tried adding the name of the drive to the URL:
http://bryston-bdp-2.local/MY_PASSPORT. Still no joy. Interestingly, when I use MAX on my Macbook, the album art appears. I’ve trying refreshing the MPAD database. I’ve deleted and re-installed MPAD. Nothing has worked. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can try next? Thanks for any suggestions.
Steve
