A couple of Sopor Aeternus & The Ensemble Of Shadows selections just arrived in the mail. A bonus as "Like A Corpse Standing In Desperation" signed by Anna-Varney Cantodea.

Be well...

Hit a garage sale last weekend and picked up 16 for $1/ea. Quality is all over the place. Generally the covers are so-so to poor, but some of the Vinyl has been pretty good.
Some are Duplicates for me - hoping they are in better condition than what I already have - for a buck each, I figure I can gamble.  :green:

George Thorogood and the Destroyers - Move it on Over
Beatles - White Album
Beatles - Sgt Pepper
Beatles - Rubber Soul (mono)
Santa Esmerelda - Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood
Rolling Stones - Dirty Work
Rolling Stones - Emotional Rescue
Rolling Stones - Exile on Main Street
Elton John - Captain Fantastic
Boz Scaggs - Silk Degrees
Simon & Garfunkel - Sounds of Silence (sealed)
Simon and Garfunkel - Bridge Over Troubled Waters
The Doors - Waiting for the Sun
The Doors - LA Woman
Dire Straits - Communique
Van Morrison - Common One

I just picked that up last Friday. I like it a lot. Very quiet pressing and I like the mix.

A few new additions to a very modest collection. Can't understand as to why picture vinyl does not come with standard album packaging.

Doc, Toni, P-man, JD, and Phil shamed me into acquiring some British folk. Went to 4000 holes and he had these 5 records, all in excellent condition. If you are looking for albums by these groups, don't go to 4000 holes--he doesn't have any left.

Nice catch Jerome. I bought the Beach Boys mono reissues and I think they are pretty good.

Well, I brought home around 250 lp's today.  All wet, nearly all muddy, no covers... I went down to Wimberly, TX to help my friend that had his house flooded 10 days ago.
I'll be cleaning for days and days.  :(

The two Kinks records are from a 2500 collection that Bob at 4000 Holes just purchased. They are in mint condition (collection owned by a former record store owner). You Really Got Me is mono and Arthur has the pull out poster. Arthur replaces a copy with a little pop on one side. I'm going back today after work to start working my way through the boxes. There are some great records in the collection which I already own clean copies.

The Yes Album is the Friday Music 45 RPM reissue.

Maddy Prior is no Sandy Denny, but she's no bum either. You'll enjoy those Steeleye Span records. And here I thought I couldn't turn Laura on to any music. Made my day.

Thanks Doc. I do like Steeleye Span and appreciate being introduced to them. Sometimes I wonder why I didn't catch some of these groups the first time around. :dunno:

You're so lucky on the Kinks. Impossible to find Arthur, I think they get snatched up right away. Make sure you have a copy of Village Green Preservation Society and Something Else by the Kinks...just in case!
