Just home from the Melbourne HiFi show.
Did have dinner before I wrote this though!
Halcro have just release their new red giant electrostat.
What a beauty!
I reckon its 7 foot tall and 3 foot wide.
They told me it goes down to 30Hz.
Sounds fantastic.
I was in a few minutes before the show started and left a few minutes before the end of the first day.
Back again first thing tomorrow.
My best sound was that Halcro electrostatic.
Second best was the new VAF Research (non electrostat) speaker.
Thought the best value of the show was the Redgum/Legend room.
The Halcro people were most accomodating.
They let me play a track from each of my 3 acappella CDs immediately after they did their setup.
Anyone who lives in or near Melbourne- you have 2 more days to get to the show.
Don't miss it.
