VCC-2 on a wood shelf in a cabinet?
« on: 15 Jan 2017, 12:46 am »
I understand that these are optimally meant to be wall mounted, but what would be the downsides of placing the VCC2 center channel speaker in a cabinet that's open to the front directly below the TV? Second, would the VCC-5 be better suited for this placement?

Thanks for your help. Wall mounting above the TV is not an option.

Seeing how you haven't got any answers, I would suggest contacting Vandersteen directly.
Mr. V will probably call you back the next day.

Thanks, Gbob. Now that I've done a more-thorough reading of the Q&As on Vandersteen.com, I see that the VCC-2 was designed to be mounted against a wall and doing what I was thinking of doing won't be optimal.

Did you ask Richard?  If not, you may want to as he may have great advice for you. He always does.
