Standard practice is to make a full C drive image one of two days before a major update just in case.
I have mine scheduled for the 10th using the free Paragon Backup and Recovery.

Don't forget to make and test the boot disk  :)

Standard practice is to drive me towards Apple, which I've never been huge fan.

But remember the key thing here is Windows has FINALLY made a USB UAC2 driver! I downloaded the update. Call me crazy but the sound quality got a BIG jump up after installing. I need to test out a few more things to verify, but the new USB driver alone I think is worth the update...
