HDTV display tuning for PC

Any tips for optimizing an HDTV display for use with a computer?

At work in a number of conference rooms we have a Samsung  HDTVs (typically) and monitors that are being driven by PCs. They all look a bit washed out like the display is being over driven but I can't seem to tame them using the PC graphics card controls. Is that just the way it is or are there screen optimization secrets I don't know about.

Focus on the TVs picture options/tuning and not the PC.
There is far more you can do in the TV itself.
