Revised Salk web site

Has anyone noticed the new Salk Sound web page? http://www.salksound.com/

There is a cool feature which allows you to search for different finishes regardless which model speaker is shown in the photo. The old web page only allowed people to browse the various image galleries that were specific for each model.

Really cool - there are so many poorly designed website that one has trouble even finding the various products/prices - it's great to see one really designed properly

Note that the new page is http://www.salksound.com/

The old page is https://www.salksound.com/

It helped when I deleted my browser's history files.

And one of the first links I clicked (Positive Feedback review of Exoticas) didn't work.  Instead of bringing me to the review, it just replicated the main Exotica page.

Loving the new layout. Didn't delve to much into the details and all the links, just checked out the Exotica 3 page, looked great.

Best audio purchase I ever made.

Pages are taking 5 seconds to 45 seconds to load, except for Firefox which isn't loading at all for some reason.  Google Fonts (and other server hosted fonts) are known to slow down the loading of a webpage, but because the load time is so slow, some other factor(s) must also be at play here.

I'm not going to proof the entire site, but on the Silk page (~ 40 second load time in Chrome) I see it uses a ScanSeak [ScanSpeak] Illuminator and that the design is phase coherant [coherent] - doesn't anyone use spell check anymore?  ;)

Sorry to agree with sub here; there were multiple typographical errors on each of the several pages I looked at. Overall appearance is good though. The 'By Category' landing page is a nice approach which will help people who have heard of the brand but are unfamiliar with the lineup. Speaking of which, that's getting to be quite some lineup!

Jim - the site looks fantastic! Excellent job! Everything is loading just fine, other users might need to clean their cache out.

Just a quick note.  I have been working on a total site re-design since about the first of the year.  We used to maintain about 140 individual static pages.  In this site, there is only one product page and, depending on what you ask for, all the data is assembled from a database and served up.  The site has not yet been performance tuned and there are probably quite a few typos at this point.  But we wanted to get it launched so that we could find out what the issues would be that need addressing.  It is a work in progress and we'll spend the next week or so working out the bugs.

It seems I managed to get this backwards.  Sorry about that.

This definitely works for me this evening http://www.salksound.com/home.php#

Jim, you know what they say about software bugs, don't you?  They're unintended software enhancements.

The new Salk Sound website is great!!!

Its also great to see my speakers set on the Salk Sound home page, in the SoundScape 8 home page, and in the Exotica 3 home page.

Both sets of speakers are a wonderful sound investment!!!

I also checked out the Soundscape 8 - the new website lists the impedance as 8 ohms, whereas the old website lists it as 4 ohms.  Is this a typo on the new website?
