BG Neo8 and Possibly Other Drivers to be Available Again

First thing I would do if I were getting new production BG Neo drivers is to compare them to the originals I have. Some variation is expected, but after seeing the clone vs original comparisons and after 21 months of no new production, I am concerned.

If I do get some CD made BG Neo10's as spares, that will be one thing I do.

Neo10 arrival date moved to 9/23 at PE. Neo3-PDR still 9/1.

Just for info checked the PE website.

The BG Neo3-PDR's info has not been updated since 9/1. The BG Neo10's are now 12/1.

So Christy Digital is just stringing them along..... I doubt they they will ever supply them with anything.

It's not that Christy doesn't make these drivers, they do. However, they use the drivers in their own products and won't let anybody else have access to them.

They don't make any of the drivers.

Is the company that built the drivers for BG building them for Christy (under patent) or is Christy just sitting on the patent so nobody can use the BG Neo drivers?

Although once you get your driver/waveguide ready to go this becomes a moot point, for your designs anyway.

The same company that made them for BG is making them for Christy. And now Christy owns the patents and production contracts.

Danny's been working on his own driver/waveguide combination to replace the Neo3PDR. He'll have to let us know how it is going.

Yep. On on the e-mail list for when it comes back in stock. I'll bet by the time they finally get it (if ever) Danny will have something better.
