I'm currently considering a trade offer for my Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum(v1) for an SS amp, the Sonneteer Alabaster.
I've never heard the Alabaster (but hope to soon) and I was just wondering if anyone had any opinions as to any equivalency of the two amps. I'm running stock tubes in the Cronus (KT-120's and JJ's).
I know its tubes vs. SS (i.e.apples vs. oranges) but I have heard that the Alabaster has a "tube-like" warmth but has perhaps better Prat and bass than the Cronus.
Any info/opinions much appreciated.
