Thought it was probably just better to start a new thread for this

Ok, after a couple  people asked for a video I managed to find the old Sony Camcorder ,  you know, the  ones that use the little mini  tapes   
Anyway, it did a much better job than the other devices around here  , sorry there is some tape noise but  I couldn't  get rid of it.

Although not like being here,  I think  the vids give a bit of an idea

That 2nd one has some great low bass but it doesn't come through  anywhere  close  to what it's like here

Sorry for the little  bit at the end of the 2nd one, thought I  clipped it out, os of tapes

Even if the sound quality of a recording from a small video camera is not the best way to show how good your system sounds, it does give us a good idea.
By the way, the little cassettes you are talking about are Hi8,
I had a Sony Hi8 video camera that I paid 1,000 USD
and it got stolen by the Saigon airport custom employees
and nothing I could do about it.
What the last thing that we heard?
" Don't forget the.... "  ???

The little tapes this camera uses are actually Mini DV which I believe are a different  animal thanthe Hi8's . It's too bad the camera makes so much  motor noise

You're welcome, it was also kind of fun to do, just wish the  SQ was a bit better to give a better  impression of how it actually sounds.   I messed around with the camera a bit and saw it was only recording in 12 bti.  Switched to 16 bit  and there was also a noise filter I tried turning on. Recorded another little video with a wide variety of music (female vocal, blues, rock, violin jazz etc), about 30 seconds from each  track but it turned out very similar.  Here is alink if  interested
