Been wondering if this is now supporting tidal hi res, and if so, where can I get one.
Have an Ida 8 and looking to get some streaming on
Thanks
-
Yes, WR-100D is available and support Tidal. You should be able to buy it online. If you can't find online store in your country, email us.
-
Hello.
I prefer using my computer than a mobile device as remote for streaming. Is there a plan to develop a Windows/Mac OS software solution for WR100-D?
-
Can you confirm that the wr-100 supports tidal ? Do you have a link to instructions on how to access the lossless streams on tidal ? How is it controlled ?
Thanks
-
I will find out and report back. I know WR-100D can work with Tidal, but need to confirm how it is done with the hi-res services.
I heard that some streaming services can only use desktop software (Windows or Mac) for hi-res streaming.
-
Yes I use Spotify on PC but Spotify is not Hi-Res and I have installed also Qobuz in PC version. For the moment I use the USB A/B cable with computer - IDA-8.
-
Ok, so I got my stream w 100, but tidal is not listed under music services, and I can't figure out how to add a music service.
Any ideas, help or ....... Anything ?
-
Just got mine too & have the same question
-
Did you guys download the D-Stream app ?
You have to run the Tidal app and it will find WR-100D.
-
Yup, I got it done....somewhat simple, somewhat difficult for old guys like me.
At any rate, working great using Tidal .......listening to old stuff I haven't heard for years.
Thanks
-
Is WR100D compatible with gapless playback ?
-
Hello,
can I use my HTPC (with Windows and Linux OS) to "send" my local(on HDDs) music to WR-100D?
regards,
Simon
-
Sure, if you have a DLNA server running on the computer. D-Stream app will be able to discover the server.

Hi Jason
how can I connect an external hd to the d-streamer?
I bought it and with tidal it goes really well!
congratulations for the work done!
(Is it possible to hypothesize an i2s output on the D-Streamer in a future release?)
thank you
-
You need a NAS or Omnia S1 for connecting hard drive.

thanks Jason

Hello, I'm new to AudioCircle, in fact I just registered to ask these two questions :)
...and hope to go on...
Can I stream hi-res audio from Qobuz with the WR100D??
And is there any difference, apart from name and appearance, between NuPrime / D-Stream WR100D and D-Stream Primo HD?? (I mean any functional difference.)
I apologize if those questions have been asked and answered before, but I'm as yet not allowed to used the search function here.
-
I have owned the WR100D and currently own the Primo HD
My understanding is the main difference in the two is that the Primo HD will accept up to a 24/192 stream while the WR100D is limited to a max sampling rate of 96k
The Primo HD is a nicer looking piece with a little bit more robust construction and an Power button on the top.
I have not confirmed this (do not have access to Qobuz in the USA yet) but I would believe that you could stream up to a 24/192 FLAC file just fine with the Primo HD
Hope that helps
-
Thanks a lot for your reply, Bwilson1. It is indeed helpful.
So maybe the Primo is the one to get.
I see on the IDA-8 page in the NuPrime site that it can connect to the digital proprietary port (USB-like but not USB) just like the WR100.
If I understand it correctly, the Primo could transfer the 24/192 (FLAC) streaming content through that port to the IDA-8 to be converted and amplified, and that would be cool. A nice simple way to enjoy hi-res music. I like the idea.
-
That USB-like port is a custom S/PDIF and power port, the spec is provided on the product page.
So yes, Primo or WR-100 converts to S/PDIF for the DAC to decode.
