Another solo guitar masterpiece.  Its a cold and wet morning in NC and it's just seems to be the best way to start the today.

Very interesting JD.  I had not seen that one before.  It has the feel of Miles Davis fusion to it.

This has turned into a Latin kind of day.  This young lady is very good...she's a looker too.  Check her out!  She sounds like a Latin Sade - she's that good!

Another excellent album by Cassandra Wilson; well recorded too.  I must say however that her most recent one (Coming Forth by Day) has not grown on me yet.  I'll give it another shot.  I may not have been in a receptive mood when I heard it.

Dave Brubeck must have recorded 1001 jazz albums, some great, and some of them he probably shouldn't have.
"Dave Digs Disney" falls in between.  The version of Heigh Ho just shouldn't have been done, but Some Day My Prince Will Come and Give a Little Whistle are just good jazz. Norman Bates on bass is fabulous throughout. Even with weaknesses, this is one to look for.
Columbia CL1059 on a 6 eye label.

Dave Brubeck was the driving force but Paul Desmond made that band unique in my book. The rhythm section ain't bad either. Here's one of my favorite Bruck albums not called Time Out.

Although his older work is excellent, I have a soft spot for this one:

Don't think you'll find much argument with that.

Hank Mobley- "Workout"
I'm amazed at how connected the jazz community was in the 50' and 60's.  Not a bad group playing on this lp.
Very nice jazz.
