My first week with a new set of Salks, I invited some friends over to listen. As they walked in the room a friend's wife threw her massive set of keys on top of the right speaker.  I yelled to stop but it was already too late

Yes the speakers in my avatar with the unique burl that I'm very proud to own, but thankfully there were no visible scratches.

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

Over 10 years ago I owned a pair of 1.6 Maggies for a week - on day one my 2 kittens started racing each other to the top.  I pulled them down, ordered a new grill cloth, sold 'em and moved on.

The Hard Times is satirical website with facetious news pieces and articles, lest anyone think this is a true account of something that actually happened.
It is similar to The Onion.

The assumption in this web community is you sold the cats,  and then used that income to buy more gear :thumb:

Actually, you said "...sold 'em and moved on."

I thought you meant the two kittens.
