i use my I pad wirh either the 30 pin or lightening connector to strea audio. i also have a kindle fire with a hdmi out at I could use. Pandora usually. I am looking for a device or cable to enables me to plug the ipad into my external dac using a spdif cable. The i20 seemed ideal but I am unable to locate one. Any help?

The Pure i20 is a nice unit, I use one in my shop system. The Teac DS-H01 is what I use in the house system http://www.teac.com/product/ds-h01/ Unfortunately, like the Pure i20,  it's been discontinued. Both can be found on the web but most people are asking ridiculous prices.

You can also look for an Arcam drDock, which is a little more rare, but may fly under the radar of others looking for a Pure i20.
