I'll be there as usual with a diy room. For this year I'll be showing a pair of open back full range single driver speakers using 8" Dayton Audio PS220-8 full range drivers with Eminence Alpha 15A H-frame subwoofers, with each sub driven by a 100w plate amp. For amplification I'll have a Cambridge Audio integrated amp, plus any tube amp I can borrow from Bruce Heran of OddWatt Audio. The source will be a Cambridge Audio 840C. I'll also be sharing the best sound enhancing tweak I've ever used, one that always results in a significant improvement in the psychoacoustic properties of the system, a case of icy cold Shiner Bock.  :thumb:

Just saw this thread come up again.  I'll be flying in early Friday morning and out Sunday evening.

Fred, it will be nice to have a chance to meet you - the info online about your early arrays was an inspiration for me when getting (back) into this hobby a few years ago.  I didn't get to building out a pair, but your example inspired me to start chasing after a great system I could actually afford to have in my home, and that such a thing really did exist. :D  I'm a little tied up by life and indecision right now, but it has been a fun way to pass the time and I've met some really great people along the way.

See y'all in TX!

We also need to make some sort of plans to go to Dodie's again   8)

Fred - I can bring my Transcendent T16 OTL amp if you want to try it on your new creations.

I will also have a selection of Texas Microbrews - much more choice this year with all of the new ones that have opened.

Dodie's sounds like fun, but this time let's clarify which one  :duh:
Yes, I would love to try an OTL amp with my speakers.

Sad to say, our member Capt. Humble lost his lease and that location of Dodie's has shut down.  There are other Dodie's seafoods around, and the food is good, but it's just not the same.

Didn't know that Dodie's had closed.
Drat  :duh:

I do plan on trying Babe's for their fried chicken this year.  Highly recommended to me by quite a few folks.

Fred - will bring the T16 for you to try.

Just noticed that Diana Krall is playing in the Dallas area the first night of LSAF, May 3, at the Verizon Theater/Grand Prairie

Babe's has the best fried chicken I've ever tasted....and my great grandmother was one of the best cooks in rural east Texas.  I'm drooling just thinkin' about it.

No, I'm coming up from Houston, so I usually just bring a case or two of selected microbrews for sharing.
